 The Chelmsford delegation to RYLA included 11 first year students, 3 second year students who served as group leaders, 2 third year students who were program facilitators and 1 college student who spoke about the value of the RYLA experience in college.
       Karin Gaffney, Governor of Rotary District 7910 visited the
Chelmsford Rotary today. She explained the wide variety of district
resources available to all district clubs. She also participated in
the installation of Dominic Breen asa new club member.  Breen is
President of "You It Department, LLC".  He is pictured with club
President, Paul Cohen and Governor Gaffney.
      The Chelmsford Rotary Club hosted the Chelmsford High School
"Students of the Month" for September at their meeting on Monday.
 They are Lindsay Ambrosino, John Mieszczanski, Isabelle Geada,
Lam Tran, Rachel McGinn and Ameya Bhat.
 Members of the Chelmsford Rotary Club visited Chelmsford Woods
on Littleton Road in Chelmsford on Mondayy July 31st and served
hotdogs and hamburgers to the residents.  The food was prepared
by Bianco's Catering.The club regularly serves the Chelmsford
community in a variety of ways.They run community blood drives. 
The next is on Wednesday August 9that St. Mary's Church Hall. 
They send selected high school sophomores toa leadership program. 
In June, the club sent nine to Fitchburg StateUniversity to participate
in The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program.They provide
backpacks and school supplies to needy students in the fall of each
year.  They support the "Budget Buddies" program for young single
women.  Theyraise funds for the Salvation Army.  They support the
Greater Lowell Wish Project,serve coffee and donuts and the annual
Veterans Day observance, they have builta cabin for the Paul Center
etc. etc.The club's next fundraiser will be a comedy night at Princeton
Station on November 3rd.
     Stephen Murray, Principal of Chelmsford High School, and Paul Cohen, President of the Chelmsford
Rotary Club announced the April "Students of the Month" at Monday's Rotary meeting.  They are -
Daniel Dimitrov, Tyler Fleming, Anthony Del Trecco, Suzanne MIsherfi, Kristen Hohenstein and Meg Dugas.
All ticket proceeds benefit the local charities & the numerous school programs sponsored by  the Chelmsford Rotary Club.  School support includes dictionaries for 3rd graders, RYLA leadership training for CHS sophomores, and for seniors “Students of the Month & Year” recognition and monies for both scholarship funds.      Thirty-five Chelmsford High School sophomores were recently interviewed by Chelmsford Rotary Club members
 and eight were chosen to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award conference at Fitchburg State University
 from June 23rd through June 25th. Those students included John Clancy, Benjamin Cote, Smrithi Eswar, Jack Fox.
 Phoebe Kimera, Esha Mukherjee, Aadhya Putter and Abby Segal.  Five students were chosen as alternates and
 will attend if a Chelmsford student cannot attend or if other clubs have openings available.  Those students
 include Krista Cabeca, Catherine Leonard, Ryan Hayes and Clare Rigney.
          Eight Chelmsford High School students were selected to attend the 2017 Rotary Youth Leadership Award conference at Fitchburg State University in
  June and five alternates were also chosen.  John Clancy, Benjamin Cote, Smrithi Eswar, Jack Fox, Phoebe Kimera, Esha Mukherjee, Aadhya Putter and Abby
  Segal were selected from the thirty-five applicants that were interviewed.  Krista Cabeca, Catherine Leonard, Kaitlin Pearson, Ryan Hayes and Clarlle Rigney
  are alternates and will attend if one of the Chelmsford students cannot attend or if there are slots that other clubs are not able to attend.
           The students will face physical, emotional and problem solving challenges over the weekend of June 23rd through June 25th.
      The Chelmsford Rotary club hosted the Chelmsford High School "Students of the Month" for the
month of February at a recent meeting.  The students included Megan Keen, Jillian MacKillop, Ethan Hirsch,
David Ibrahim, Meghan Majeski and Justin Rodriguez.
      The Chelmsford Rotary Club will sponsor 8 sophomores for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference
to be held at Fitchburg State University from June 23rd through June 25th.  Applications are available in the
Main Office at Chelmsford High School.  They must be returned to the office by Friday March 3rd.  For more

      The Chelmford High School/Chelmsford Rotary Club "Students of the Month" for December 2016 were announced recently.  They include Elizabeth Kearney, Rachael O'Connell,
Manjari Mishra, Jacob Kaminsky and Andrew Thayer. Michael Marchant was absent for the picture.
